North Regional Theatre Workshop looking for Singers and Dancers!

Now in its 31st Season under the direction of Paul D Webster-Greene, North Regional Theatre Workshop proudly presents:
Rodgers and Hammerstein and a little Hart

NRTW is looking for Adult Male/Female singers and singers who dance, to join us in our 31st year of quality musical productions. Our spring production of Rodgers and Hammerstein and a little Hart. We will be highlighting the wonderful music of Rodgers and Hammerstein who created such hits as South Pacific, Carousel, Sound of Music, King and I, plus many more. We will also be adding excerpts of Rogers collaboration with Lorenz Hart.

Rehearsals: First Rehearsal/Pot Luck Supper – February 9th at 6PM. Additional rehearsals will be held every Tuesday eventing for full cast rehearsals at 7:00pm. Most rehearsals will take place at First Church Congregational, 26 Pleasant St, Methuen, MA.

Andover children raise voices for food pantry benefit

METHUEN — Fourth- and fifth-graders from South School in Andover will join classical singers and organists for a concert Sunday to benefit Neighbors In Need. The Christmas concert will be performed at Methuen Memorial Music Hall, 192 Broadway (Route 28), starting at 3 p.m. The South Side Singers, 40 students strong, will perform under the direction of Linda O’Donnell, a music teacher in Andover for 12 years.

Organists Tamara Rozek and Charles Leinbach will be featured along with soloist April Foley, a soprano. Harmonic Regression, an octet, with Jonathan Drury, Jeff Cutts, Jeffrey Cutts, Scott Helmers, Ron Dann, Don Miller, Tom Harvey, Marty Mason and pianist Donna Schroeder, round out the show.

Proceeds will benefit Neighbors in Need, which distributes food to more than 550 families weekly through nine food pantries in Lawrence and Methuen. The agency has two mobile pantries that deliver food to 26 teenage mothers and families at the YWCA’s Fina House and 20 residents with disabilities at Windsor House.

The Methuen Senior Activity Center is billing the Happy Hearts Choral Group concert, “It’s A Grand Night For Singing,” as the show that’s sure to get people’s toes tapping.
