The Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative is hosting a Launch Night, recognizing the writings, drawings, photography and musical talents of area students in grades six through eight, on Thursday, February 25th, 2010.

GLEC publishes students’ works in “AppleSauce,” magazine. Students attend middle school in Andover, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover.

Launch Night will be held at the Tenney Grammar School, 75 Pleasant St., from 6 to 7:30 a.m.

GLEC aims to use writing and visual arts as a means of bringing people together for a greater appreciation and understanding of each other’s unique talents.
